Professor Sparrow is a pioneer and inspiration in law teaching. In the two decades she has spent teaching at 91��Ƭ�� Law, Professor Sparrow has dedicated herself to helping students develop into thoughtful, caring, and competent lawyers. In addition, Professor Sparrow serves as an exemplary teaching mentor and advisor to her 91��Ƭ�� colleagues, brainstorming ideas, giving teaching workshops, explaining teaching methods and consulting on course and assessment design.

Students know Professor Sparrow as an energetic, engaging, demanding, fairand enthusiastic teacher. She consistently draws some of the highest teacher evaluations received by our faculty members. Students—and the many 91��Ƭ�� Law alumni who Professor Sparrow taught—frequently extol her compassion and commitment to not only students’ learning but also to their moral and ethical development as future attorneys.

Having conducted more 100 workshops and presentations, Professor Sparrow has consistently been at the forefront of legal education, incorporating teaching professionalism, metacognition, writing, assessment and complex collaborative learning into a variety of law courses. In doing so, she’s promoted 91��Ƭ�� Law as a source for excellence in teaching and learning in law schools. As a colleague from another law school commented, her presentations and workshops on teaching have put 91��Ƭ�� Law “on the map.”
