Get to know John (Jack) Mayer, the recipient of 91ÖÆƬ³§'s 2025 Distinguished Professor Award, given out during 91ÖÆƬ³§'s annual Faculty Excellence celebration in November. Mayer was referred to as a "bit of a rock star" by a colleague in his nomination, lauded for his dedication to students and down-to-earth demeanor. 

"As a teacher, he has a lot of diverse ideas, and he really promotes a lot of broad exploration," says Beth Caldwell, senior lecturer in psychology.
