Ready for What's Next
The National 4-H Beyond Ready initiative equips youth with the confidence and skills needed to thrive in school, work, and life. It emphasizes adaptability, communication, and leadership — key traits for success in today’s dynamic world. Supporting this initiative in New Hampshire is the 4-H Grit to Grow program that helps Granite State youth build resilience, leadership, and workforce readiness through hands-on learning and mentorship. Participants develop essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and civic engagement, all while exploring career pathways and connecting with peers and mentors. The program also aligns with the goals of the Governor’s Task Force for the Recruitment and Retention of a Young Workforce, which aims to strengthen opportunities for youth and encourage them to build futures in New Hampshire.
The 4-H Grit To Grow Summit, planned for this summer, promises to energize youth, parents, university staff, and business leaders to do what it takes to be ready for the future.
