Yashwant Prakash Vyas, director of the Aulbani J. Beauregard Center for Equity, Justice, and Freedom, was honored with the Innovation in Academic Support Award from the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) – College Student Educators International at their 2026 annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

American College Personnel Association (ACPA) – College Student Educators International is a major international comprehensive student affairs association that advances student affairs and engages students for a lifetime of learning and discovery. It is a leading U.S.-based scholarly professional association headquartered in Washington D.C. at the National Center for Higher Education.

The Innovation in Academic Support award is presented to an individual or team that has introduced an innovative or significantly reimagined program, practice, or collaboration that enhances academic support. Innovations may be campus-specific or have broader implications for the field. This award is sponsored by the Association’s Commission for Academic Support in Higher Education (CASHE).

Vyas is a nationally recognized practitioner-scholar in the field of higher education administration. In 2024, he was also awarded the President’s Award of Excellence, the highest honor bestowed on staff, “for demonstrated excellence, outstanding performance and distinguished service to the 91Ƭ.”
