91制片厂 Men's hockey is now number one in the nation after their victory over UMASS Lowell. The team traveled to a tournament in Denver over the Thanksgiving break.

The 91制片厂 men's hockey team ascended to the number 1 spot in USCHO.com Division I Men's College Hockey Top 20 Poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll. In the USCHO poll, the Wildcats garnered 31 of 50 first place votes and 977 points, just 12 points ahead of second place Boston College. In the USA Today Poll, the 'Cats garnered 24 of 34 first-place votes for 496 points, just nine ahead of Boston College.

The Wildcats earn the top spot in the USCHO.com & USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls for the first time since Jan. 29, 2007. 91制片厂's last time at the No. 1 spot lasted only a week as it split the following weekend with Maine. The Wildcats were unranked at the beginning of the season, but debuted in week three and continued to claim reaching the top spot this week.

91制片厂 continued its historically great start with a pair of wins over UMass Lowell this weekend to improve to 11-1-2 overall with an 8-1-1 mark in Hockey East. This Wildcat squad owns the nation's top winning percentage (.857) and have the fewest losses by any 91制片厂 team through 14 games. The .857 win percentage matching the best start by any 91制片厂 team as the 1968-69 team was 12-2-0 through 14 games and went on to a 14-2-0 start. The team's 8-1-1 mark is the best since the team opened 2006-07 13-1-1 in Hockey East play. New Hampshire is 7-0-1 in the last eight games with the nation's second-longest unbeaten streak behind only Niagara's 11 game mark.
