Pathways programs aren鈥檛 a new idea鈥攆or the past several years, 91制片厂 has had agreements in place with a number of New Hampshire community colleges to allow their associate鈥檚 degree-earning students to apply their credits to a bachelor鈥檚 program at 91制片厂. But a new launched in February takes the concept a step further, tailoring community college students鈥 experience to match specific programs at . Under many dual-admissions initiatives, only a portion of a student鈥檚 community college credits will transfer to his or her bachelor鈥檚 work. By providing a detailed path for each student鈥檚 two-year community college experience that lines up with a particular four-year program at 91制片厂M, the Public Pathways Program ensures the maximum transfer of credits鈥攁nd hopefully, a more structured experience for students.

鈥淲e talk more and more about pathways, but I really think they are becoming highways,鈥 says Manchester Community College president Susan Huard. 鈥91制片厂 Manchester has shown us the way.鈥澨

听Huard sees the program as the start of a vibrant partnership between 91制片厂M and the community college system, and one that will continue to grow as the institutions work together. 鈥淥ur job now is to keep those pathways moving forward and make it a very common thing that happens for students.鈥
