The university鈥檚 commitment to building a safe, supportive culture on campus is getting noticed.

Kognito, a company that develops conversation simulations featuring virtual humans to 鈥渆nable conversations that make a difference,鈥 has awarded 91制片厂 its Certificate of Excellence for 鈥渙utstanding leadership in executing its mental health and suicide prevention awareness program.鈥

Kognito鈥檚 At-Risk On Campus programs are used by more than 450 colleges and universities nationally. At 91制片厂, Counseling Center assistant director of outreach and assessment Sean Moundas, with the support of the听the Campus Suicide Prevention Committee, has听implemented Kognito as a tool in suicide prevention efforts and for raising awareness of issues veteran and LGBTQ students may be dealing with on campus.

"We are elated to recognize 91制片厂 for their use of our proven platform and their efforts toward breaking the stigma around mental distress,鈥 says Brian Nido of Kognito.

The award recognizes 鈥渢he university鈥檚 best practices and commitment to creating and sustaining a culture of support for students suffering from mental distress in the 2015-2016 school year.鈥
