Bio student Timothy Labonville 鈥17 discussed concussion imaging techniques during the Undergraduate Research Conference poster session at 91制片厂 Manchester on Wednesday.

Students put their independent research, civic engagement activities and internship projects on display during the听poster presentation session at the 91制片厂 Manchester Undergraduate Research Conference on Wednesday.

Posters and students lined the hallways, and faculty and staff stopped by to听view and ask questions. The posters spanned a variety of disciplines and myriad topics听such as coral reefs, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, hospice care services, virtual reality interaction and others.

Emily Rezzarday 鈥18, a biological sciences major, and biotechnology majors Nicole Collette 鈥18 and Jasmine Lee 鈥17 presented their research from the broad-leafed forest of Belmopan, Belize. Both traveled to Belize with their Global Science Explorations class over spring break to study its biodiversity of species and ecosystems.

Hannah Curran '20, a neuropsychology major, and Jillian McCalvey '20 explored the cost, benefits, availability and variety of locally sourced food in the Greater Manchester area.

Biological sciences major Erica Chapman 鈥17 shared the impact water quality has on human health, while fellow bio student Timothy Labonville 鈥17 discussed concussion imaging techniques.

Politics and society major Kayla Wood 鈥18 presented her research into how mobile pantries could help solve food insecurity problems in New Hampshire.

Also presenting on Wednesday were Alicia Finney 鈥18 (biological sciences), Madelinne Powers 鈥18 (international affairs) and Katherine Roblee 鈥17 (business), who teamed up to study access to nutritional meals in the state鈥檚 public schools.

Computer information systems majors Jeffrey Gancarz 鈥17 and Dylan Lindstrom 鈥17 presented their experiences at internships in software development and web design. And English major Ayman Elsayed 鈥18 and Mckenzie Holmes 鈥18, an ASL/English interpreting major, presented about the Hope for NH Recovery, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people overcome addiction.
