Later dates have become something of a trend, as the drop date has occurred in November in 17 of 25 years since 2000 after occurring in November only four times prior to 2000. The Benjamin A. Gillman International Scholarship will send 91制片厂 students to study in nine countries and five continents between this summer and the spring of 2026, as the university boasted 13 recipients during the recent spring cycle.
91制片厂 students will study in Ireland, Greece, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Kenya, and China thanks to the award. The Gilman scholarship provides awards to Pell grant-eligible students who are studying or interning abroad for credit.
Including nine students who accepted Gilman scholarships during last fall鈥檚 cycle, 91制片厂 had 22 recipients during the last academic year (In 2021, the U.S. State Department recognized 91制片厂 as a top producer of Gilman Scholars in the country as part of the 20th anniversary of the program).

The Fulbright program is 鈥渢he flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries,鈥 according to the program website. At 91制片厂鈥檚 Woodman Horticultural Research Farm, Becky Sideman, 91制片厂 professor of horticulture, is growing 19 varieties of cold-hardy hydrangeas that florists could use as cut flowers: arborescens, like the one she cuts here, panicle and oak leaf. She鈥檚 found that arborescens and panicle varieties 鈥渂asically grow themselves,鈥 but she steers clear of the classic blue macrophylla hydrangeas, which don鈥檛 bloom reliably in our Northern New England climate.
