Laure Barillas joins 91制片厂 as a faculty member in both French and philosophy. Her research spans the history of French philosophy in the 20th century with a focus on applied ethics and feminist issues. Publications include a book chapter, La compassion comme tension chez Hannah Arendt, in 鈥淪oin et compassion : Un nouveau paradigme pour la philosophie politique ?鈥 (Hermann, 2021) and a book chapter, La gestation pour autrui, in 鈥淢茅decine, sant茅 et sciences humaines鈥 (Les Belles Lettres, 2021), as well as a postscript for an edition of 鈥淟e Vivable et l鈥檌nvivable鈥 by Judith Butler and Fr茅d茅ric Worms (PUF, 2021). She earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from Ecole Normale Sup茅rieure, an M.A. in public affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a B.A. from Universit茅 Paris Nanterre. Courses she teaches include Advanced French Reading and Writing; #MeToo in France; and Law, Medicine and Ethics.
