Spanning the repertoire across Europe and the United States, Mathilde Handelsman鈥檚 career as a piano soloist and collaborative musician has led her to perform under conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Thomas Ad猫s, Stefan Asbury and Luigi Gaggero. Highlights from recent and current seasons include chamber performances alongside Yo-Yo Ma, Nicolas Namoradze and Stephen Drury at the Tanglewood Music Festival, as well as an upcoming solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2022. Handelsman鈥檚 debut solo album, 鈥淚mages,鈥 featuring Claude Debussy鈥檚 complete works of 1903-1907, was released in 2020 (Sheva). A collaborative album devoted to new commissions for woodwinds and piano by Roger Boutry will be released next year. Handelsman鈥檚 work as a poet includes two published volumes in French by Edilivre, 鈥淧r茅-sage鈥 (2016) and 鈥淟鈥橝bsurde G茅nie des fleurs鈥 (2017). She has won prizes at national and international piano competitions in France including Concours International d鈥橧le-de-France, Concours de Chatou, Claude Kahn, U.F.A.M., and 1st prize at the Young Artists Competition of Al猫s. Earlier this year, she won first prize in the American Prot茅g茅 International Concerto Competition. Handelsman holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Shenandoah University, a Performer Diploma from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, and an M.M. and B.M. from Acad茅mie Sup茅rieure de Musique de Strasbourg. Handelsman teaches applied and collaborative piano at 91制片厂.
