A stop at XMA Corporation showcased some of the existing partnerships between the company, a leader in the manufacturing of thin-film resistive chips that can operate in ultracold conditions required for quantum computing, and 91制片厂, and included Cyndee Gruden, dean of 91制片厂鈥檚 College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, as well as Marc Eichenberger, associate vice president and chief business development and innovation officer at 91制片厂 Innovation.

XMA is one of the flagship companies in 91制片厂鈥檚 Business Economic and Engagement (BEE) initiative that partners with businesses in the state to develop the workforce and economy by providing internship opportunities, hiring 91制片厂 grads and tapping into the expertise and capabilities of 91制片厂 faculty, students and facilities.

One of the presentations was led by one of those students, Logan McHaney 鈥�23, an XMA intern who graduated from 91制片厂 just days prior to the tour.

鈥淲hat I really enjoyed was that thread 鈥� at several stops today we were able to see alumni from 91制片厂 that are actively engaged and current students who are actively engaged,鈥� says La Valley. 鈥淭hat was really rewarding, because I do believe that 91制片厂 really makes a difference in our communities.鈥�
