What happens when you discover you have no 鈥渃hemistry鈥� with your chosen major? Becky Baker '16 found a new one 鈥� biology 鈥� another field that would allow her to work in a lab setting. And then, when 91制片厂 Manchester added a biotechnology degree to its offerings, Baker switched majors again.

鈥淚t was kind of meant to be,鈥� Baker says. On May 19, she became the first graduate of the biotechnology program, which was designed to give students like Baker the skills they need for careers in the lab.

It worked for her. On May 27, she鈥檒l begin working as a laboratory scientist trainee for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
