DURHAM, N.H. - The names of two New Hampshire soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan will be unveiled on the commemorative plaque in the war room at the 91制片厂 Tuesday, July 12, 2011.

Army Chief Warrant Officer Christopher R. Thibideau, formerly of Marlborough, died May 28, 2011, after his helicopter crashed during combat operations Afghanistan. He was a helicopter pilot assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade out of Fort Hood Texas.

Army Pfc. Michael B. Cook, formerly of Salem, died June 13, 2011, from injuries sustained during a rocket attack on a military base in Iraq. Cook had been in Iraq since November 2010, serving as an advisor for Iraqi national police at a base in eastern Baghdad.

The brief ceremony, held in cooperation with the 91制片厂 Veteran-Student Organization, and the Air Force ROTC and Army ROTC programs at 91制片厂, will take place at 10 a.m. in the War Memorial Room on the third floor of the Memorial Union Building on Main Street.

Thibideau and Cook's names will be added to the more than 2,300 men and women of New Hampshire who have died while serving in the armed forces. The 24-panel window was the first of its kind when it was installed in 1957. It was dedicated in 1953 by Gov. Hugh Gregg.
