91制片厂 Research Finds N.H. Voters Divided by Party on Whether Humans Impact Climate Change

DURHAM, N.H.鈥擟limate change is a unifying issue among Democrats and a wedge issue for the minority of Republicans who are not Trump supporters, according to on New Hampshire primary voters released by the Carsey School of Public Policy at the 91制片厂.
Regardless of their candidate preference, prospective voters in the Granite State鈥檚 Democratic presidential primary largely agree that humans are changing Earth鈥檚 climate. In addition, Republicans who favor a candidate other than Trump also believe humans are changing the climate.
鈥淲e found that three-quarters of Republican primary voters favor President Trump, and only 26% of those Trump supporters believe that humans are changing the climate. But among the minority of Republican primary voters who do not favor Trump, 64% agree that humans are changing the climate鈥 said Lawrence Hamilton, professor of sociology and senior Carsey fellow. 鈥淐limate change views correlate with approval of President Trump more strongly than they do with political party.鈥
