The department of music has had another robust year of concerts, lectures and events. Its interdisciplinary, study abroad and internationalization efforts have also been strong. But it鈥檚 the successes of music students that bring the most pride.

Rising sophomore and viola performance major Juliana Good placed in 91制片厂鈥檚 Social Innovation Venture Challenge and has begun building a nonprofit company, Crescendo Inclusive Curriculums. The goal is to expand access to fine and performing arts for students with special needs.

Good is not alone in her accomplishments. Over the past year, music students have won undergraduate research grants to travel nationally and internationally. They鈥檝e been admitted into graduate music programs nationally and internationally. They鈥檝e presented at 91制片厂鈥檚 Undergraduate Research Conference. And they鈥檝e performed internationally in student chamber and ensemble tours to Poland, Italy, Switzerland and China.

Learn about these and other highlights of the year in the department of music鈥檚 annual newsletter.
