Bill Poirier has been named the听chief information officer for 91制片厂 as well as the University System of New Hampshire. He previously was the acting commissioner and state chief information officer (CIO) of听Minnesota's IT Services Agency.

Tasked with identifying the state鈥檚 technical direction and rebuilding its IT operations, Poirier guided operations of an agency with 2,300 employees with an annual budget of more than $500 million. He also orchestrated development, procurement and project management of the state鈥檚 IT infrastructure, business applications and GIS services with support to 87 counties, 300 cities and 200 public higher education campuses.

Prior to his work in Minnesota Poirier served as CIO and chief security officer for Charter Schools USA where he led research, development, innovation, physical and cybersecurity programs as well as nationwide IT operations in support of more than 8,000 employees, 84 K-12 schools and more than 70,000 students.听He was also a general manager and听CIO听in the Air Force, leading a team that operated and secured the U.S. Air Force鈥檚 $6 billion IT enterprise.

Poirier will start at 91制片厂 Aug. 26.
