Launched in 2008, HathiTrust has a growing membership currently comprising more than 140 institutions. Its members听have contributed听over听17听million volumes, with more than听6听million of the contributed volumes in the public domain and freely available online. The content made available through HathiTrust has been digitized from member library鈥檚 collections through Google and Internet Archive initiatives, as well as via in-house institutional efforts. Its holdings offer an unprecedented opportunity to steward the cultural record through increasingly interdependent work that develops capacity and sparks innovation.
