The 91制片厂 at Manchester will recognize the academic achievements of more than 70 students at the听2016 听on Tuesday, May 17.听

One of the university鈥檚 largest academic ceremonies,鈥疕onors Convocation鈥痓rings administrators, faculty, staff and students together to celebrate academic success. This year鈥檚 event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester, N.H.听

Leading the proceedings is 91制片厂 Manchester Dean Mike Decelle, with remarks from P.T. Vasudevan, 91制片厂 Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. This year's student speaker is English major, English program award recipient and University Scholar Kristin Boelzner.鈥�, lecturer of mathematics and recipient of the 2016 Excellence in Teaching award, will give the faculty address.听

This year鈥檚 program will recognize Presidential Scholars,听University Scholars, inductees of the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Theta honor societies as well as recipients of the Writing听Across听the Curriculum, Undergraduate Research Conference and听academic听program awards.听

Student speaker听Kristin Boelzner has become a dynamic presence at 91制片厂 Manchester, involved in almost every facet of the urban campus. Boelzner received the Heart of 91制片厂 Manchester award at the Student Leadership Recognition Ceremony, recognizing her passion for students and commitment to 91制片厂 Manchester. She also received the Unsung Hero award, which is awarded to students who demonstrate dedication to student clubs and the campus community.听听

Boelzner鈥檚听roles on campus also include positions as a student marketing assistant and blog team leader in the marketing department; Peer Assistant Leader, Academic Coach, Transfer Student Mentor in the Office of Student Development and Involvement; office assistant in the Student Service Suite; and an event promoter听within the Student Activities Department.听听

At this year鈥檚 Honors Convocation,听Boelzner, a University Scholar, will receive the听English听Program Award and be recognized for her invitation to join Phi Beta Kappa.听

Presidential Scholars must have earned 100 credits by听February听15, 2016, of which at least 64 are 91制片厂 graded credits, and have a 3.85-4.0 cumulative 91制片厂 grade point average.听

Associate degree candidates must have earned 32 or more credits by听February 15, 2016, of which at least 12 are 91制片厂 graded credits, and have a 3.5听- 4.0 cumulative 91制片厂 grade point average.听
