Ryan O鈥橬eal and Daniel Stoller

Ryan O鈥橬eal and Daniel Stoller have a few things in common. Both are studying computer science at 91制片厂 Manchester, both are transfer students from Manchester Community College and, most notably, both are veterans of combat.

And now, there鈥檚 another accomplishment to add to the list: O鈥橬eal and Stoller have been awarded education stipends from the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA).

As part of its enduring 鈥淰ets Helping Vets鈥 initiative, the awards stipends to service members who are driven to further their education. Members of the organization visited 91制片厂 Manchester to present the awards to O鈥橬eal and Stoller on April 13.

O鈥橬eal, a senior in the , served as a healthcare specialist in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2011. During his years of service, O鈥橬eal had two tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. He transferred to 91制片厂 Manchester to pursue his passion for computing technologies鈥攁nd, with graduation on the horizon, has already landed a job as a junior database developer.

Stoller had two tours in Iraq while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006 to 2013. He spent his first three years as a vehicle crew chief/team leader and his latter four as a professional instructor for amphibious assault vehicles. Stoller received his associate degree in computer science before transitioning to the at 91制片厂 Manchester, where he is now in his junior year.
