
Business major Jenna Horne, a University Scholar and president of 91制片厂 Manchester's Enactus team, will deliver the student address at the college's Honors Convocation on May 16.
The 91制片厂 at Manchester will recognize the academic achievements of more than 130 students at the听2017听听on Tuesday, May 16.
One of the university鈥檚 largest academic ceremonies, Honors Convocation鈥痓rings administrators, faculty, staff and students together to celebrate academic success. This year鈥檚 event will begin at 6 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester, N.H.听
Leading the proceedings is 91制片厂 Manchester Dean Mike Decelle, with remarks from Nancy Targett, 91制片厂 provost and vice president for academic affairs. Samantha Reynolds, lecturer of chemistry and recipient of the听2017 Excellence in Teaching听award, will deliver the faculty address.
This year's student speaker is University Scholar and听听Jenna Horne. Horne has been an active part of the campus community since she transferred to 91制片厂 Manchester in 2014.听She has supported first-year students in adjusting to campus life as a Peer Assistant Leader, assisted with admissions events and projects as听Lead Student Ambassador and helped local entrepreneurs find long-term sustainability as president of the college's听.
Horne is a shining representative of 91制片厂 Manchester, whether she is giving prospective students and their families genuine insight into student life on a campus tour, or working with current students to find the resources they need through听her role听in the campus library. Her leadership, involvement and contribution to campus social life earned her the听Leader by Example Award at the college's 2016 and 2017 Student Leadership Recognition Ceremony.
Honors Convocation will recognize Presidential Scholars,听University Scholars, inductees of the Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta)听honor societies as well as recipients of the Writing听Across听the Curriculum,听Undergraduate Research Conference听and听academic听program awards.
