The 91制片厂 at Manchester, Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) and CELLINK are excited to announce the first annual BioHackNH event on May 18 and 19, 2018 in the STEM Discovery Lab at 91制片厂 Manchester. During the , college students interested in STEM and regenerative manufacturing are invited to explore its possibilities by engaging in real-world problem-solving. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about regenerative manufacturing from leading experts
  • Explore real-world applications
  • Have the opportunity to create their own solutions
  • Manufacture tissue using CELLINK bioprinters

鈥淲e had been brainstorming ways to support the exciting developments around Regenerative Manufacturing in Manchester and decided the structure we used at Dyn could be replicated to support local students who have an interest in the space,鈥 said Jeremy Hitchcock, founder and former CEO of Dyn. 鈥淏y partnering with ARMI, 91制片厂 and CELLINK, we鈥檝e assembled an all-star team to create an amazing event students will enjoy.鈥

Mike Decelle, dean of 91制片厂 Manchester and chief workforce officer for ARMI, says bringing academia and industry together is key to building interest in the cutting-edge fields of biotechnology and bioengineering.

鈥淭his event will be a catalyst for engaging students in the biosciences manufacturing sector, which is positioned to change lives,鈥 Decelle said. 鈥淪tudents will have the opportunity to see what it鈥檚 like to work in this emerging field while connecting with leaders in the industry.鈥

CELLINK Bioink Officer Patrick Thayer says the education and training of students is extremely important in driving the bioprinting field forward.

"The future innovators in the field will come from students who participate in this and similar programs across the country,鈥 Thayer said. 鈥淚f we can help by sparking their interests and getting them excited about the field鈥攖hat alone is worth it.鈥

BioHackNH is open to college students from any major听who are interested in printing bio parts. If you'd like to attend, . Space is limited. Organizations that are interested in sponsoring the event are encouraged to reach out to Colby@hitchco.xyz.
