Research published by the Carsey School and authored byÌýMichael Kurtz, a professor at Lycoming College, andÌýKaren Conway and Robert Mohr, Professors of Economics at 91ÖÆÆ¬³§'s Paul College of Business & Economics,Ìýwas recently mentioned in the New Hampshire-based Carriage Towne News. Their research found that weekend backpack food programs – that provide easy-to-prepare meals to children to eat outside of school – help economically disadvantaged students and result in increases in math and reading test scores among primary school students.
