The Akwaaba Traditional African Drum and Dance Ensemble performed a routine in the MUB Granite State Room on Friday, Feb. 18 as part of 91制片厂's 2022 celebration of Black History Month.听The ensemble performed听a series of rhythms, dances and songs from West Africa and is听led by master percussionist and teacher Theophilus Nii Martey, who began studying traditional African music as a shild in Ghana. The group's name means "welcome" in the Akan language of Ghana.
