Female professor leans over two college students

College of Professional Studies professor Mihaela Sabin, center, is collaborating on a project that integrates character development into education of skills like computing or engineering technology.

Can learning computing and engineering form character? That鈥檚 what a 91制片厂 College of Professional Studies team of educators and researchers will investigate over the next three years.

, professor of computer science in the College of Professional Studies Manchester division, will collaborate on a project led by Purdue University that aims to educate future professionals who are not only technically prepared but care ethically and morally about their roles in the workplace and society.听

鈥淭he project鈥檚 goal aligns with the mission to provide world-class 91制片厂 education to New Hampshire resident students enrolled in career-driven academic programs,鈥 says Sabin. 鈥淚ntegrating character development into pedagogical and assessment approaches in computing and engineering technology courses will create new venues for strengthening the whole-person education that the university values.鈥

Funding for this research 鈥 $100,013 over three years 鈥 was provided by Wake Forest University鈥檚 .听
