To ensure that students can get the care they need during their time at 91制片厂, health insurance is required for all undergraduate and graduate degree candidates at the Durham, Manchester and Concord campuses.

91制片厂鈥檚 student health benefits plan (SHBP) costs $190 a month, has no deductible for in-network care ($250 deductible for out-of-network) and extends coverage year-round anywhere in the world. 听What鈥檚 more, the plan, administered by Health Plans Inc., exceeds minimum coverage requirements and compares to platinum plans while being priced at the level of most bronze plans.

So while students up to age 26 can remain on their parents鈥 healthcare plans, it鈥檚 worth comparing the cost and coverage to that offered by SHBP. In particular, parents with family coverage who have only one child may find it more economical to insure their student under the 91制片厂 plan and retain two-person coverage for themselves.

The SHBP meets the essential guidelines in the Affordable Care Act and has no limit on medical or prescription benefits. In addition to broad coverage, the SHBP includes access to discounts for dental services as well as travel assistance.

Enrollment in the 91制片厂 plan is automatic unless a student submits a waiver prior to the deadline indicating adequate coverage under another plan. Adequate coverage includes:

  • The
  • Access to hospitals and physicians for emergency and routine care and mental healthcare providers in the Durham, Manchester or Concord, New Hampshire, area
  • A deductible less than $500 (if greater than $500, proof of financial resources to cover the deductible is require)

The policy also must remain in effect throughout the academic year (unless terminated due to age maximum or other loss of plan eligibility).
