DURHAM, N.H. - 91制片厂 alum Harold M茅ndez '96, president of ESTRELLA Management International and cofounder of the Dominican Republic Sports and Education Academy, Inc., will be at the University of New Hampshire Wednesday,听Feb. 15, 2012, to talk about his career as a sports agent and sports education in Dominican Republic. The talk, free and open to the public, takes place in Theater I of the Memorial Union Building from 4:10 to 5:25 p.m.

M茅ndez has served as an advisor and consultant to world-class sporting events, professional sports teams, sports management firms, and entertainment firms around the world. He has focused his practice on the growing Latino presence in sports, and represents and advises Latino sports and entertainment personalities in endeavors both on and off the field.

He is developing an education academy for athletes in the Dominican Republic so talented players can focus not only on sports but also rigorous academics. The Dominican Republic Sports and Education Academy (DRSEA) aims to help high school athletes develop their baseball skills while giving them the tools to succeed in life off the field. M茅ndez sits on the board of the National Hispanic Media Coalition and the Philadelphia Latino Media Alliance, and is a senior advisor to Sports Perspectives International. In addition to his bachelor's degree in kinesiology and international affairs from 91制片厂, M茅ndez holds a law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law.听
