Community Invited to 91制片厂's First 'Shakespeare Lab' Friday, Sept. 7

DURHAM, N.H. - The 91制片厂 will host its first "Shakespeare Lab" Friday, Sept. 7, 2012. The event, which will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Memorial Union Building Theatre II, is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the Department of English, Shakespeare Lab is intended to create a community-building experience for students taking Shakespeare and early modern drama classes this semester as well as the greater 91制片厂 community.听

"We'll be offering lively, interactive presentations on Shakespeare's language and poetic meter, Renaissance London stage history, and modern performance of Shakespeare. We also will have live demonstrations of acting from some of the stars of the upcoming performance of Macbeth听on campus," said Doug Lanier, professor of English and director of the 91制片厂 London Program.

Macbeth runs Oct. 3-7, 2012, at the Johnson Theater.听听
