91ÖÆÆ¬³§â€™s Sustainability Institute is a gateway for you to make impact on campus and in local communities through internships, fellowships, hands on experiences, and volunteering.

We take sustainability seriously; it’s embedded in all we do, which means the campus is a powerful living learning lab. Students were integral in helping 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ become Bee Campus certified.

    Students proposed the idea of 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ becoming a Fair Trade campus and worked collaboratively with leaders, dining and other departments to make it happen.

    As an intern, you could help 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ ensure our ecosystems and waterways remain healthy, working closely with the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Stormwater Center to track and analyze data and educate the campus community on sustainable practices.

    Waste is problem we all face! We’re working hard to creatively find ways to reduce our waste AND create less to begin with. 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Trash 2 Treasure is student-created and student-powered and allows you to purchase gently used items at the fall back-to-school sale, and donate unwanted items in spring when moving out. Student leaders are gaining vital professional skills running the T2T and promoting a circular economy on campus!

    You could be a leader in your residence hall by serving as a Sustainability Advocate. Advocates plan fun events that educate peers on sustainable practices and work to help life in the halls be more sustainable. These are just a few ways students have made lasting impact. How will you?
