While presenting information is a fundamental part of teaching, overuse of the bells and whistles available in PowerPoint and other presentation tools, using the PowerPoint presentation as a teleprompter, and failure to apply principles of effective multimedia design can result in what is commonly known as 鈥渄eath by PowerPoint.鈥

Mentimeter  

A tool for creating interactive presentations and meetings using live polls, quizzes, word clouds, Q&As and more.  

 

Prezi 

Rather than a slide-based approach, Prezi uses a鈥痗anvas-based鈥痑pproach, with one large canvas that your presentation moves around on, zooming in and out to view various鈥痜rames. 


 

Adobe Express 

Create social graphics, web pages, and short videos. 


 

Twine 

Twine is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories.

Kaltura 

Kaltura is a service that provides tools for hosting and delivering media. This includes lecture capture, uploading video files (Zoom recordings, PowerPoint narratives, etc.,.), sharing videos and lectures with colleagues, and collecting video from students.鈥疘t is integrated with Canvas/myCourses and other 91制片厂 tools. Since it is a secure location and integrated with myCourses, it is the preferred video hosting environment.
