The onset of the digital age has transformed the world of journalism, bringing with it a 24/7 news cycle, myriad ways to tell a story and the challenge of capturing people鈥檚 attention in a highly competitive media and information landscape.

As 91制片厂鈥檚 journalism program prepares students to enter a profession that one New York Times reporter describes as 鈥渂urning so bright and so hot right now,鈥 key donors are ensuring those students have the tools they need 鈥 from technology and equipment to real-world experience 鈥 to become the next generation of truth-tellers.

A CEPS Mainstay

Sherry and Bob Phillips鈥 time together as a couple 鈥 46 years total, 40 of those married 鈥 only slightly exceeds the number of years they鈥檝e been connected to their beloved 91制片厂. The two met after signing on to work for a summer at the same country store near Bob鈥檚 family鈥檚 vacation home in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Bob 鈥76 would head to 91制片厂 that fall, while Sherry headed back for her sophomore year at Plymouth. Their lives have been intertwined with each other, and with 91制片厂, ever since.

How do you know when the Gods of Great Ideas have smiled down upon you?

Just ask Paul College alumni Galen Hand 鈥16, Alex Febonio 鈥16 and Richard Roy 鈥16. They met as students in Paul College's听Atkins Investment Group, became fast friends, graduated to careers in high finance and, in September of 2018, reunited to form NOCA, which stands for 鈥渘o carbonation,鈥 the name of their three-man outfit as well as the trio of fruit flavored spiked still water they produce.
