Reflecting on 9/11 at 91制片厂

On the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the 91制片厂 community pauses to remember the members of the 91制片厂 family who were lost that day, including four alumni 鈥 one of whom was also a longtime faculty member.

Judd Cavalier 鈥98, Jennifer Fialko 鈥94, Robert G. LeBlanc 鈥59 and Timothy C. Stout 鈥83 all lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Cavalier, Fialko and Stout were all in one of the two towers at the World Trade Center, while LeBlanc, who was a geography professor at 91制片厂 for 36 years, was aboard United Airlines Flight 175.

NSF Mid-Career Grant Backs 91制片厂 Research into Why Rural Youth Stay 鈥 or Leave

91制片厂 researcher Cindy Hartman has received a prestigious NSF Mid-Career Advancement grant to study how rural New Hampshire youth view their futures. Her three-year project will explore the messages shaping students鈥 post-high school decisions, aiming to strengthen opportunities for young people to build fulfilling lives in the state.

Gilman Scholarships to Send 91制片厂 Students to Five Continents

The Benjamin A. Gillman International Scholarship will send 91制片厂 students to study in nine countries and five continents between this summer and the spring of 2026, as the university boasted 13 recipients during the recent spring cycle.

91制片厂 students will study in Ireland, Greece, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Kenya, and China thanks to the award. The Gilman scholarship provides awards to Pell grant-eligible students who are studying or interning abroad for credit.
