Commencement is always a special and exciting time here at 91制片厂. As in years past, University volunteers will play an indispensable role in ensuring memorable celebrations for our graduates and their guests. Volunteers will be needed for all Commencement ceremonies on Friday and Saturday.
Time Commitment
Volunteer Orientation:
- Virtual Training: May 7, 2026 | 12:15pm
- Optional Walk Through: May 14, 2026 | 10am
Each shift during the commencement ceremony itself lasts approximately 4-5 hours. Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts.

Student Ambassadors
Being selected as a student ambassador is a great honor and those selected should feel pride as they鈥檝e been invited by the Dean鈥檚 Office to represent their college and the University. After Honors Convocation and Commencement, the Commencement Office will provide both the President鈥檚 Office and Dean鈥檚 Office with a final list of participating student ambassadors so they may receive formal recognition.
Housing
Student ambassadors can be given housing extensions to stay on campus until after the event. You will be asked to indicate need when registering.
Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed for many responsibilities that ensure a successful celebration such as:
- pre-event set-up;
- assisting mobility impaired guests to their seats;
- scanning tickets
- assisting with student line-up;
- staffing various information and vending booths; and
- assisting with post-event clean-up.
