The 91制片厂 at Manchester will celebrate the achievements of 264 graduates at the college's 31st听annual commencement proceedings on听Thursday, May 19, 2016.

More than 150 students participated in this year鈥檚 Manchester URC, putting their research, creative and scholarly work on display from April 19 to 22.听91制片厂 Manchester takes pride in the efforts of all students who participated in this year鈥檚 event, and recognizes the 2016 URC award recipients.

The 91制片厂 at Manchester will recognize the academic achievements of more than 70 students at the听2016 Honors Convocation听on Tuesday, May 17.听

Bruce Rheaume of Litchfield, a graduating senior in 91制片厂 Manchester鈥檚听Biological Sciences program, will be the student speaker at the college鈥檚 31st annual听commencement ceremony听on Thursday, May 19, 2016.

SINCE I ARRIVED in New Hampshire in July 2018, I have written a monthly email update to the 91制片厂 community. In it, I note important events on campus, share the books I鈥檝e recently read and talk about the progress we鈥檙e making in advancing the university鈥檚 four strategic priorities. I want to share our progress with you as well, because we can鈥檛 be successful without you, the people of New Hampshire.

Last year, when the 91制片厂 Police Department needed funds to add a comfort dog to the force, chief Paul Dean knew just where to turn: the 91制片厂 Parents Council. Since 1992, the Parents Association Student Enrichment Fund has made it possible for the council to support student-centered groups across campus whose activities enhance the college experience.

Donald Plante, lecturer of mathematics, has been awarded the听college's 2016 Excellence in Teaching award. Sonic Woytonik, adjunct professor of history, is the recipient of this year's Adjunct Excellence in Teaching award.

Before Lihy Buchbinder 鈥�21 arrived at 91制片厂, she had a cultural experience that few students have: In 2014, after finishing her last two years of high school, she returned to her homeland to serve in the Israeli Army.听听

A new study looks at the "almost-social" North American carpenter bee to better understand how honeybees evolved such complex social lives.

Stephen Pimpare, lecturer of American politics & public policy, has been selected as a member of the first听cohort of听Brandeis University's听International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life听.
